Global beauty company Chanel has announced actor Timothée Chalamet as the fragrance ambassador for Bleu De Chanel.

The French fashion and beauty house praised Chalamet’s “audacious style and unapologetic charm”, adding that: “Timothée Chalamet personifies the visionary and edgy spirit of the next chapter of Bleu De Chanel: a man who does not limit himself to the ordinary boundaries life sets and looks beyond what is visible.”

An advertising campaign starring Chalamet will be shot by Mario Sorrenti and released in June.

A campaign film, directed by Martin Scorsese, will follow in autumn.

Chalamet is the second fresh face for Chanel’s fragrance roster to be announced this year. In February, Chanel signed actress Whitney Peak as the new face of its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance—making Peak the first Black face of the brand’s signature fragrance.
